A Speedmaster that looks back to the first one: straight lugs, the broad-arrow hands and the symmetrical case of the 1957 CK2915, in a modern automatic or, since 2022, a hand-wound case. It is the dressier Speedmaster, the one for buyers who like the Moonwatch's history but not its asymmetric case.
Every '57 on Dialist is listed by a verified dealer and covered by buyer protection. The 2022 references (332.) are 40.5 mm and hand-wound; the 2013 generation (331.) is 41.5 mm with the automatic calibre 9300.
Two generations
2013–2021: 41.5 mm, automatic calibre 9300 (9301 in gold), two-counter dial with a date, over 16 mm tall. 2022–: 40.5 mm, hand-wound calibre 9906, about 13 mm tall, no date, sandwich dial in black, blue, green and burgundy.
Materials
Steel is the volume reference in both generations; Sedna gold, yellow gold and two-tone versions exist. The 1957 anniversary piece is a separate watch: the 38.6 mm hand-wound Trilogy of 2017, listed under the Moonwatch.
Versus the Moonwatch
The '57 has a symmetrical case and no crown guards, a smaller dial opening and, on the 2013 references, a date. It wears flatter and dressier, and the 2022 watch is a Master Chronometer.
