Omega's antimagnetic watch, made in 1957 for engineers and railway workers beside the Speedmaster and Seamaster 300, and reborn in 2017 as a 40 mm Master Chronometer resistant to 15,000 gauss without the soft-iron cage of the original. It is the plainest Omega sports watch: no bezel, no date, a brushed dial with a vertical grain. The 2025 relaunch brought it to 38 mm.
Every Railmaster on Dialist is listed by a verified dealer and covered by buyer protection. The 38 mm is the current reference, the 40 mm its 2017–2024 predecessor; the 2003–2010 generation is the cheaper way in.
Generations
1957 CK2914 (rare and vintage); 2003–2010 in 36, 39, 42 and the 49 mm hand-wound XXL on Aqua Terra cases; 2017 Trilogy 38 mm and the 40 mm Master Chronometer with calibre 8806; 2025 38 mm on the 8806 or the small-seconds 8804.
Dials
Brushed black, grey and a denim blue on the 2017 line; grey gradient or beige with small seconds on the 2025 watch; the Trilogy has the broad-arrow hands and vintage lume; the 2003 generation uses the Aqua Terra's dial furniture.
Who it suits
Anyone who wants an Omega sports watch without a bezel, a date or a logo-heavy dial; it is the understated one, and the 2025 38 mm is the slimmest Seamaster Omega makes at 12.4 mm.
