Omega's chronograph family since 1957: the hand-wound Professional Moonwatch at its centre, and around it the automatic lines that borrowed its name and its bezel. Racing, Dark Side of the Moon, Broad Arrow, the 38 mm, the Moonphase and the Date models are all Speedmasters, and all of them are chronographs.
Every Speedmaster on Dialist is listed by a verified dealer and covered by buyer protection. The Moonwatch has its own page; the Dark Side of the Moon and Racing tiles above cover the automatics.
The first Speedmaster of 1957 was a racing watch: the tachymeter scale moved from the dial to the bezel so a driver could read speed at a glance. The Moon came later. From the 1970s Omega built automatic Speedmasters beside the Professional, and from the 1990s the Reduced and the Date and Day-Date models, then the Broad Arrow of 2002, brought the name to a wider range of wrists and prices.
The modern automatics run on the Co-Axial calibres 9300 and 9900 (two-counter dials with the 12-hour and 60-minute hands on one axis): Dark Side of the Moon in ceramic (2013), the 44.25 mm Racing (2017) and the Moonphase on the 9904. The 40 mm Racing of 2012 and the Speedmaster 38 use the smaller 3330; the Chronoscope of 2021, with its 1940s snail scales, is hand-wound on the 9908.
Lines
Hand-wound Professional for the Moon story; Racing or Dark Side for a modern automatic; Broad Arrow or '57 for the 1957 look; the 38 for smaller wrists; the X-33 for a titanium quartz tool.
